About Temple Beth Israel
Temple Beth Israel of Longboat Key is many things: a beautiful house of worship, a beehive of activity for educational, cultural and social programs, a place to share, celebrate, and pursue tikkun olam, and an opportunity to experience our precious Jewish heritage through a range of stimulating activities.
Temple Beth Israel on Longboat Key includes members from Lido Key, Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, and St. Petersburg. We are primarily an adult community. Sixty percent of our members are full-time residents.

Temple Beth Israel is a non-partisan , warmly welcoming, diverse congregation of worshipers engaging with each other in the spirit of goodwill, friendship, and kindness.
Learning
We have an outstanding adult education center on site, as well as a large library. We seek to provide a lifetime of Jewish learning for our community.
Prayer & Worship
Led by Rabbi Stephen L. Sniderman, we offer a dynamic blend of worship opportunities that span from the small and intimate services & Torah study on Saturday morning at 10:00 am, to evening services incorporating music from our electric organ & choir on Fridays at 5:30 pm.
